II: OLD BUSINESS
1. PLANNING PROJECTS:
a. Angler Mountain Ranch
-Tuesday, January 16th – preliminary PUD amended, continued. John asked that the trail be reviewed; Michael already has comments and not to follow through.
b. Blue River Lofts – 1-2 Acres
-Denied on 12/13/06 by Council. There were several deficiencies in the plan and the developer has 6 months to resubmit, on hold for now.
c. Sapphire Plaza – 2.6 Acres 3 lots
-Submittal was incomplete; the developer is working with Community Development.
d. Lifestyle Center
-The developer has met with Mark and will submit another proposal by the end of the week.
2. Swift Skedaddle – Wrap up
John Taylor’s comments: It was a “great day,” and thanked all involved.
-“Super job” was done on the raffle prizes and giveaways.
-Suggested that we pursue becoming a national qualifier and to do that we need to become a National Snowshoe Member which we can apply for in July. This will help in the advertising end, and draw more people.
-We should recommend that snowshoes NOT be worn inside!
-There were some communication problems, volunteers being left on course.
-Kid’s event was excellent; maybe we can expand to make it a more family oriented event, even adding a ˝ or 1K race.
Nathan’s comments: 88 people signed up, 65 actually participated. “Day of” donations for Danelle were in the range of @ $805! We are still working out expenses/revenues so we do not know whole totals at this time.
-Hiring an outside contractor for the timing was a great idea, it added to the validity of the race.
Marty suggested next year we add “SPORT” name to the t-shirts.
Tammy’s comments: Next fundraiser for Danelle is a spaghetti dinner at the Pavilion on March 15th. This is also a SPORT night, should we change or cancel our meeting in support of Danelle? Committee will discuss options at the February SPORT meeting.
OTHER:
-Continental Divide Land Trust will be holding their 10 year anniversary celebration on September 6, 2007 in lieu of their Friends of Open Space party. Mark your calendars!
