Willow Creek Trailhead
SPORT stands for Silverthorne Parks, Open Space, Recreation and Trails. In March 1997 the Silverthorne Town Council passed a motion to recognize this committee as a formal supported Town Committee. Then in November 1998 the citizens of Silverthorne passed an election question supporting a 2% Lodging Tax of which 85% would go towards capital projects relating to Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation and 15% to market the Town of Silverthorne and it's amenities. The first set of board members were appointed in January of 1999.
