III. OLD BUSINESS
1. 2010 Winter Goals
a. Assist with completion of Rainbow Park master plan update. Provide support to staff or consultant on project and participate in public process as opportunities are presented. (Marty, Marilyn, and Mary Kay)
b. Assist with design and selection of new playground equipment for Rainbow Park, as outlined in the Rainbow Park Master Plan Update and as allowed in the 2010 budget. (Pat)
c. Include one member of SPORT on the Town Entrance Park Planning Committee. Representative will report progress to SPORT. (John)
d. Complete Fishing Access Map and distribute to the public. (Don & Nathan)
e. Send volunteers to assist with the US Telemark Ski event, February 24-28. (Frank)

2010 GOALS
Winter
1. Assist with completion of Rainbow Park master plan update. Provide support to staff or consultant on project and participate in public process as opportunities are presented.
2. Assist with design and selection of new playground equipment for Rainbow Park, as outlined in the Rainbow Park Master Plan Update and as allowed in the 2010 budget.
3. Include one member of SPORT on the Town Entrance Park Planning Committee. Representative will report progress to SPORT.
4. Assist with the 2010 Swift Skedaddle Snow Shoe Adventure. COMPLETE
5. Complete Fishing Access Map and distribute to the public.
6. Send volunteers to assist with the US Telemark Ski event, February 24-28.

Spring
1. Better define Adopt-A-Park responsibilities by coordinating with Public Works. Then, recruit Adopt-a-Park sponsors.
2. Review and recommend approval of Willow Grove Open Space rules and regulations per Town Ordinance.
3. Monitor developments that involve the expiration of the Nordic Center license agreement in 2010. Comment as needed.
4. Assist with selection of trail enhancements along the Blue River Trail, including; signage and way finding as described in the Blue River Trail Master Plan, use of Summit Prevention Alliance Walkability Grant funds if received, and type and location of site furnishings.
5. Schedule an update on the status of the Old Silverthorne Elementary School field at a SPORT meeting.

Summer
1. Follow up on the Angler Mountain Ranch trail, until expectations are met and trail is accepted by the Town of Silverthorne.
2. Review and make comment on the design of segment 5 of the Blue River Trail.
3. Assist with creation of better fishing access along the Blue River Trail including clean up of brush and tree trimming along the river, where allowed. Collaborate with Public Works for direction and approval of projects. Schedule at least one walk to identify areas for improvement.
4. Organize at least two clean-up projects and invite community youth to participate. (Make A Difference Day, Clean Up Day, Scout projects, School groups, etc.)

Fall
1. Identify additional parking locations along the Blue River in regards to fishing/river access. Submit recommendations to Public Works and Community Development Departments for future consideration.
2. Offer support for the application process to nominate the Tammy Jamieson Bridge for a Colorado Lottery Starburst award.

Ongoing
1. Review and comment on site plan for 20 acre park at Maryland Creek Ranch, if proposed.
2. Assist with Strategic Plan implementation for Recreation Center and/or Pavilion, as requested.

LONG TERM GOALS (Present-2012)
1. Blue River Trail; Build the 5 segments of the Blue River Trail
2. Rainbow Park; Update Master Plan and Complete park amenities
3. South Maryland Creek Ranch Park Area, accept park

FUTURE GOALS (Tabled for future consideration)
1. Identify opportunities for design and construction of a dog park, which would include; a central location, no close neighbors, parking opportunities, and potential funding.
2. Consider appropriate uses for the Willow Grove Open Space, with emphasis on the lakeside trail and docks. Use the Town of Silverthorne Management Plan and the CDLT Conservation Easement as tools to help form allowable recommendations.
